1. What is IndiaFamilyTree? |

| IndiaFamilyTree.com is a free online service dedicated to help Indian families worldwide to collaboratively build their family trees and easily keep in touch and share their memories and experiences with each other. |

| 2. How do I sign up and get started? |
| |
| You can start building your family tree by simply entering your name and email address on the home page and click on ‘Start My Tree’ link. |

| 3. How do I add members to my family tree? |
| |
| You can add other family members to your tree by clicking on ‘Add member’ link on your MyProfile page or MyFamily page. You can then invite them to view the family tree and build their own profiles and add other members to the family tree |

| 4. How do I invite other family members? |
| |
| You can invite other family members adding them to the tree and entering their email addresses. You can also add them by using the ‘Invite’ link on the top of the page and entering their email addresses. |

| 5. How do I create and manage my profile? |
| |
| A blank profile page is created for you when you join IndiaFamilyTree. You can then add information to your profile page such as Photo, Contact Information etc. and keep it up-to-date so that your family can keep track of you. |

| 6. Who can see my profile? |
| |
| Only your family members can see your profile. Your profile is private and not accessible to general public. |
| |
| 7. Who can search for me? |
| |
| Your profile is searchable by any member of your family. It is not publicly searchable |

| 8. Can I only share a part of my profile information with my family members? |
| |
| Yes. You can do this by using Privacy controls on your ‘Settings’ page. You can find the ‘Settings’ link at the top of the page. |

| 9. What is a ‘claimed’ profile? |
| |
| A claimed profile is one where a member has been invited to join the family tree and accepted the invitation and set a permanent password. Once a profile is claimed then no one can edit the profile except the owner of the profile. |

| 10. How do I view my family tree? |
| |
| You can see all the members of your family tree on your MyFamily page. We currently provide only the list view. You will soon be able to view this as a tree as well. |

| 11. How do I keep track of my family members? |
| |
| You can do this by clicking on their names or thumbnail images on your profile or family pages. This will take you their profile pages where you can find all their information that you have access to. |

| 12. Can I upload share photos with my family members? |
| |

Yes. You can. This is an important
and powerful application of IndiaFamilyTree.com. Each member can upload photos using
‘Add Photos’ on their profile page (in the MyAlbums section) or on the ‘Photos’
page. Photos page allows you to view not only your albums but also all the albums
of your family. Your photos are private and only your family can view your photos.
When a family member uploads new pictures you get an email notification. This feature
makes it very easy and convenient to manage and share your photos with your family.
No more emailing of large number photos and forgetting to add some important family
member or searching where those photos are on your computer. |
